The Cafe

We run a small cafe in the centre of Ludlow.  It is staffed both by our learning disabled members and by volunteers.  This provides work, training and social opportunities.

The aim of the café is that it should provide real work opportunities and a meaningful role for all those involved. Volunteers and staff support our Core Members who serve in the cafe. This involves training and supporting them, and we now produce all our own foods. Members are encouraged to do as much as they can, as well as they can, and with as little support as possible. This applies to food production as well as serving customers and activities “front of house”.

We serve tea, coffee, delicious vegetarian lunches, cakes and bread all made by our supported members.  We also sell local produce and preserves, and handmade cards and gifts produced by our members and associates.

This cafe is a social centre where customers and supporters of all ages and abilities drop in for coffee and a chat, so next time you visit Ludlow Town Centre pop in for some refreshments in a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
